Web Application Development

Your website can be nothing but a simple and basically useless on-line business card or it can be a tool for growing and expanding your presence not only on the Internet, but in the brick & mortor world.

As I have done my entire life, I have always kept up with the latest in technologies and techniques for bring users custom tools that are easy to use and reliable. All the sites I develop are database-driven and use the PHP scripting language. This means that they are dynamic; when you make changes on the back-end, those changes are instantly visible on the live website so people can see them. I also use SEO (Search Engine Optimization) techniques to ensure that Google and other search sites can find you easier.

So what does all that stuff mean? Let me get to it with some real-world examples...

Riverside Realty

www.Riverside-Realty.com - Hoboken, NJ

In the screenshots above, we see the actual live website. You can click on them to see larger versions. And below I have taken shots of the administrative tool they use to maintain the site. Note: These pictures are not of the live site but from the development site I used which is still live. So contact me if you'd like to see a demo.

Again, the shots above are of the actual live website. They show the homepage, photogallery and upcoming events. All of the content on these pages is maintained via their administrative section of the site which is shown below. Other options include changing the menu and weekly specials as well as posting customer testimonials. A demo version of this site also exists; please contact me for one.

The Arts Factory

www.Arts-Factory.com - Bayonne, NJ

Unfortunately, the Arts Factory is no longer on-line. However I still have the original demo site available to those who would like to see it. The shots below show the main page of the administrative utility, a performance being edited and the eTickets that were mailed to customers.

I'm quite proud of the work I did on this project and am sad to see the site no longer up. The Arts Factory was a performing arts center that sold eTickets to their shows on-line. Customers were sent the tickets via e-mail and the tickets were validated by the bar code on each ticket. The program I wrote also tracked all performance and ecommerce info provided by PayPal through the IPN (Instant Payment Notification) system.

Please keep in mind that this is an older app and not quite as fancy as some of my more recent work. :)
